Labs London required a highly specialised approach. Delivering plumbing and electrical adaptations within a live, operational scientific facility. Appointed by Axis@work, Synergy Group Solutions was tasked with accommodating the installation of a new free-issue laboratory sink. Unlike standard commercial fit-outs, this project demanded clinical precision and careful coordination to integrate seamlessly with the building’s existing infrastructure while maintaining the rigorous safety standards required in a laboratory environment.
Seamless Integration in a Live Lab Working within a sensitive setting, our team had to overcome layout constraints by fitting a Saniflo unit directly into the existing stack within the ceiling void. This pumped waste solution was critical for the building’s layout, requiring expert mechanical knowledge to ensure effective drainage without disrupting the facility’s operations. To further mitigate risk, we installed integrated leak detection beneath the waste connection, providing an essential early warning system for this high-value environment.
Specialist Mechanical & Electrical Installation For this precision project, Synergy carried out a specific suite of works, including:
Water Supply & Drainage Installation – New hot, cold, and waste connections installed to serve the laboratory sink, ensuring reliable performance in a controlled setting.
Saniflo Integration – A specialist pumped waste unit fitted into the ceiling void to overcome gravity drainage constraints.
Integrated Leak Protection – Advanced leak detection installed beneath waste connections to reduce risk and ensure safety.
Electrical Modifications – Installation of a dedicated fused spur circuit to supply both the leak detection system and the Saniflo unit, alongside minor distribution board works.
This project highlights Synergy’s ability to execute precise mechanical and electrical upgrades with minimal disruption. By delivering safe, compliant, and dependable services within a live scientific environment, we ensured Labs London could continue their critical work without interruption.
